The Foreword Collective was founded in 2017 by two publishing industry veterans and employs a wide variety of creative professionals on a per project basis including editors, designers, and writers. We want to put all of our experience to work for you!

HI. I'M MOLLY.

I'm a creative thinker and idea maven who always has an eye on the bottom line. I am a little obsessed with stories. I love crafting them, telling them, delivering them to audiences in new ways, and helping others tell their own. I love traditional media, but I'm also passionate about working with brands to find ways to expand into ancillary products and opportunities. 

I'm a southern girl who graduated cum laude with my Bachelor of Communications and Creative Writing at the University of Miami, worked my way up the corporate publishing ladder in New York City, and finally settled down back in my hometown of Nashville. 

Most recently, I served as the Associate Publisher for the Specialty Division of HarperCollins Christian Publishing working to acquire and create gift books, children's books, and new media products with authors and brands including Sarah Young, Max Lucado, Shauna Niequist, Candace Cameron Bure, Melanie Shankle, Ann Voskamp, Annie F. Downs, Lee Strobel, Coffee + Crumbs, Karen Kingsbury, and Mark Batterson.

Prior to my six years at HCCP,  I worked as an editor for Penguin Young Readers Group and a Senior Editor for Scholastic, Inc., acquiring, editing, and managing products for brands such as Star Wars, Pokemon, Bakugan, Barbie, Zhu Zhu Pets, and numerous movies including the Harry Potter films. 

In addition to my editorial and consulting work, I've also written over 50 children’s books under various pen names for films such as Annie and Mirror Mirror, for TV shows like Liv & Maddie and Jessie, and from brands including Strawberry Shortcake, Chuggington, and American Girl. 

I currently live in Nashville, TN with my husband Matt and our two sons, James and Brooks. When I'm not working, you can find me cooking while binge-watching Netflix or continuing in my quest to build the perfect cheese plate!
